Business Reputation

It's not what you know, or who you know, it's how well you know them that counts.
Ivan Misner

No one involved in business wants to have a bad reputation. Many dollars are spent on maintaining a good public image.

It all rests on the well known fact that people talk. Unfortunately your customers are more likely to talk about the bad experiences they have encountered with your company than the good.

So what can you do to make sure your customers are hearing the success stories of your services?

The children’s rhyme: “Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me” doesn’t ring true in our competitive business market.

Many business empires have come toppling down when word gets out giving the company a bad name. Reputation is important in business. What you stand for and what “names” people call you do matter!

You could spend the top dollar on a huge publicity campaign; create the glossiest looking image out there.

The question is: what meanings do people associate with the words you plaster on your billboards?

When your customers hear your business slogans what connotations are provoked in their minds? Are you doing all you can to give people positive meanings to attach to the face and name of your company?

Knowing that people talk, it’s time to put that to work for your business. Testimonials from people can confirm the great service they have received from your business can engender confidence in your customers.

It doesn’t have to be expensive to let your clients know what others are saying about your business. Keep it brief, 4 lines max. Focus on the benefits your customers have experienced by doing business with you.

Using comments from well known people that your clients respect will gain your credibility and leverage your relationship.

You may not have time to address each customer personally and inform them of the testimonials. It doesn’t have to cost the earth to inform your customers

You may be thinking, “I would love to do something like this, but I don’t have the time” Never fear, that’s where a service like Permission Marketing can help.

We’ll help you construct a news letter which can be sent personalised to each of your clients via email.

Inexpensively connecting you with your clients. This way you can capitalise on letting your customers on what people are saying about your company. People DO talk: use it to your advantage!
